The Home & Garden Show – 2011

Well it’s May already and I’m sure you all know what that means. Home show time again. The excitement is growing around here to envision what we will implement as far as Show Specials, still deciding. Make sure to stop by our display booth to see what we came up with, it will definitely be to your benefit. We decided to go a little lighter on the overall display this year by not incorporating the roof section and solar panel of the display but are coming up with a new HVAC display which will be eye catching, only so much

What is the True Cost of Repair?

Repair vs. Replace…… Before considering going through with an expensive repair to your current Air Conditioner, Furnace, or Water Heater you should evaluate the advantages of replacement.  Four things to consider before making a repair are as follows: 1.  The cost of the repair. 2.  The future cost of repairs over the next 5 years. 3.  The utility cost savings of new equipment over the same 5 year period. 4.  The cost of inflation of a new system now vs. 5 years from now. You may find that investing the money you will save by not repairing your old and

Office Manager is Thinking about AC, Should You Be?

What an interesting season we have had already. One day it is sweater time the next where are the shorts. Don’t get me wrong I am not complaining I would much rather be here in beautiful Prescott Arizona than back east where they have to shovel snow on a daily basis just to get out of their driveway. I know that the warmer weather is coming so get ready to enjoy and don’t forget to have a tune-up done on your cooling system to keep it running smoothly.   Thank You Crystal Judd Office Manger

Its Spring – Plumbing Things to Do

We finally made it to spring which means the outdoor activities such as planting the garden and our irrigation systems are going to come out of hibernation. A few things to look at as we put these watering systems back on line… Spend a little time checking your irrigation system before you plant. Turn on the stations one at a time to check for leaks; the last thing you want to do is get everything planted and find there is a leak under a freshly planted vegetable or flower garden. Frost free hose bibs (bibs are outside faucets) are something

YP&H Owner’s – view on taking care of clients

What does a Full, One Year Unlimited Guarantee on the purchase and installation of any Heating, Air Conditioning, or Water Heater mean to our customers?  Simple, the risk of buying a service from a contractor has been shifted from the owner and back to the contractor where it should belong.  Why is it so hard to purchase a service from a contractor?  Because you don’t know what you are going to get until the job is done and worse yet, it could be 6 or 8 months down the road when something goes wrong.  How much purchasing ‘brain damage’ could

Plumbing & Winter don’t always do well together

As we are all aware we got slammed with quite the winter storm recently. I’d like to point out a few things we need to be conscious of when we get these extreme conditions:  Any outside faucets, i.e. hose bibs, bury hydrants should have the hoses disconnected.  If you have water lines in a non controlled environment such as a garage or work shop, you need to either have an isolation valve incorporated into the system or a space heater in place to put a little heat into the area of concern.  Insulated water lines are a

YP&H’s Geothermal seminar was well received

Yavapai Plumbing & Heating hosted a free educational seminar on Thursday, February the 17th at the Hassayampa Inn and it was very well attended. We enjoyed great audience participation and in fact the audience was so involved and asking so many good questions that more than a few slides of the presentation were skipped completely or covered briefly. The seminar lasted 30 minutes longer than planned and it was felt to be a very positive experience by everyone that cared to comment. YP&H is making a big commitment to GeoThermal technology for heating and cooling your home or small business
